Dear Reader,
As I sit here at the end of my junior year wondering where the last 3 years went I can’t help but reflect about how these last 3 years of have changed my life. At the beginning of myt freshemen year I came into High School a small scared little kid that was very much afraid of the upperclassmen. But, boy things have changed.
There are many experiences throughout my high school career that were very helpful to me as a person and some that weren’t so helpful. The experiences that helped throughout high school came mainly through sports. My participation in football, cross country, and track taught me the value of hard work, and sacrifice. Sports pushed me to my limits and helped me accomplish my goals. They brought me loads of great memories that I will never forget and lifelong friends. They also gave me some great mentors in the form of the coaches I’ve had over the years.
The things I am most proud of during my high school career are my grades. I’ve managed to maintain a 3.65 GPA while participating in 2 sports a year and taking challenging classes such as AP English and Calculus. I have been on either principles list or Honor Role throughout my entire High School career. Ironically my best subjects are not the AP courses I’m taking but rather Science and Social Studies. These classes are much easier for me because I am much more interested in the material in both of these classes and they have just come easier to me than the other core subjects. As you might have guessed the other core subjects are my downfall. These subjects have always been hard for me mainly because the material is harder for me to learn than the other subjects.
I believe that I have grown up a lot during my years of High School. Many things about me have changed. I am no longer a scared little freshman that’s afraid to walk the halls. I’m going into my senior year at high school. A year that will hopefully be one of the best in my life. It will be a year of new growth and challenges that I hope to overcome. It will be a year that I hopefully will never forget.
